I opened a new profile at 500px for some of my photo art. I am looking forward to participating in this creative community. My National Geographic account requires that there is very little to no editing for photos submitted and I try to avoid a lot of heavy editing in my portrait work also. I am hoping to expand my ability, and 500px is a forum which allows for more creativity in the editing process.

Like many shutterbugs, I have been using Adobe Photoshop for a long time and have become pretty adept at using many of the basic correction tools, layers and filters. I first taught myself on PS 5 in 2002, after that I upgraded the software a couple of times through the years. I recently upgraded to the latest version of Photoshop (CC) and I prefer it over Lightroom for the type of work I do. I am loving some of the latest features! Now, I am hoping to be able to take my skills to the next level and continue to grow as an artist and I am impressed with the editing work showcased on this site. 500px has expanded since I last used it several years ago from a simple photo sharing platform, to a place where art can gain exposure and may be picked for stock images to buy or sell.

Here is the link to my new gallery: 500px.com/ClaireCharlingPhoto I will continue to rotate art as I start to experiment with some new editing techniques.
