We have a resident hummingbird who lives in our yard. I have been trying to get a decent shot of her for 3 months now! She hates the reflection off the lens and is quick to flit off when I come out with my camera. Today, there were two of them and I heard their high-pitched calls as they chased each other around. Hummingbirds are usually very territorial, and since it is spring, I think perhaps these two may be a mating pair? I looked online to try to identify the species and I think they are Anna’s hummingbirds. I finally got some shots of the female today as she helped herself to some nectar from our orange blossoms. I think the shots came out pretty decently for a first try but I am going to keep working at it!
